The path to the Euro is a long one. As Old&#345;ich D&#283;dek, Chief Coordinator for Euro Adoption in the Czech Republic reminded us, the project for economic integration started in the mid-50s, finally reaching a common currency in 1999. The project is a slow one, but with time, men such as Mr D&#283;dek are paving the way for the enlargement of the single currency.
