Markos Markoulis is a Communication and Internet Studies student at the Cyprus University of Technology and a participant in Newsroom Europe 2026. Originally from Cyprus, he is interested in European affairs, digital media, and the way technology shapes public trust, democracy, and youth engagement. Curious about languages, photography, and cross-cultural dialogue, he brings a people-focused approach to storytelling. After contributing to PulseZ in Brussels, he hopes to produce clear and responsible reporting that makes European issues more accessible to young readers.

On the wider world stage, Europe appears slow and divided in decision-making. These dangerous shortcomings could lead to a fragmented and weakened future if they remain unresolved. Our answer is clear: We need a united, decisive Europe.
