A rebirth of European federalism in Slovenia ?
Scintillating mountains and Alpine lakes, emerald hills as far as the eye can see, turquoise rivers and a Venetian littoral : Slovenia has undoubtedly known how to place itself on the touristic map of Europe. In Brussels and European chancelleries, on the contrary, Ljubljana remains one of the least-known capitals as regards its identity, values and policies. The country, member of the European Union since 2004 and of the Eurozone and Schengen Area since 2007, is rarely heard about in debates on the continent’s future – what if the time has come ?
