The first part of the #DontTouchMySchengen campaign is over. Promoted by the Young European Federalists (JEF-Europe), it involved thousands of young and less young Europeans in all over the Continent for an online and offline awareness-raising campaign on why the Schengen Agreement is at risk nowadays and why we should preserve it.

The European Union and Ukraine signed an Association Agreement in 2014. Five years of difficult negotiations and preparation of the text of the Agreement was preceded by that outstanding event. Ukrainians defended (sometimes with their lives) their right to the European way of life during the revolutionary days of Euromaidan.

If students followed the same courses from Ireland to Greece, equal opportunity in the increasingly international labour market of Europe would be secured, she argues.

Last summer EU High Representative Federica Mogherini and the European External Action Service she leads were tasked to craft a new global strategy for the European Union. The latest such strategy is from the year 2003. Even though the 2003 strategy was considered successful in its time, it has obviously grown outdated. In a "more complex, more connected, but also more contested world”, it is necessary to craft a new strategy.
