The identity challenge of Islam
Euroscepticism is shaking the continent. The 21st century began with the failure of the 2004 European Constitution. Over the past few years the situation has been getting worse. Racism and communitarianism are boosting quarrels at regional and national levels. Some northern countries are yearning to get rid of Greece’s debt. Moreover, a British in-out referendum on Europe will take place by the end of 2017, paving the way for other countries to leave the Union.
