Diesel kvar på agendan tre år efter skandalen

Sedan tre år tillbaka skakar dieselskandalen om den europeiska bilindustrin. Dieselgate ekar starkt även nu när EU-länderna nyligen förhandlat om nya utsläppsmål för biltrafiken för perioden 2021-2030. EU bör nu sikta på en fordonsflotta med klart minskade utsläpp, och att överkomma dieselfusket är en central del i detta.

Europa celebra 100 años del fin de la Primera Guerra Mundial

Hubo un tiempo en el que Europa no era como lo es hoy. Europa era un continente de guerra y confrontación. Era el corazón del orden colonial mundial. Era un continente dónde los países podían edificar tal desconfianza entre ellos que su carrera armamentística acabaría escalando en un conflicto abierto que llevaría a todo el mundo a la guerra. Lo llamaron la Gran Guerra, y acabó hace exactamente 100 años, en un alto el fuego el 11 de noviembre de 1918.

Europe celebrates 100 years since the end of WWI

There was a time when Europe was not like it is today. Europe was a continent of war and confrontation. It was the heart of a colonial world order. It was a continent where countries could build up such a great mistrust towards each other that their arms race would eventually escalate into an open conflict that would bring the entire world to war. They called it the Great War, and it ended exactly 100 years ago, in a ceasefire on the 11th of November in 1918.

Wahlen in Schweden führen zum Patt

Les élections suédoises mènent à l’impasse politique

Les élections législatives qui se sont déroulées dimanche en Suède ont abouti à un résultat extrêmement serré, les blocs traditionnels obtenant un nombre de sièges presque égal au Parlement. Pendant ce temps, les démocrates suédois d’extrême droite continuent de croître et obtiennent leur meilleur résultat à une élection, avec 17,7ù des voix. Après une élection où tout le monde a gagné mais aussi perdu, le pays se dirige maintenant vers une période difficile de formation du gouvernement.

Swedish elections result in a political gridlock

Last night’s parliamentary elections in Sweden have resulted in an extremely tight outcome, with traditional blocs getting almost equal numbers of seats in the parliament. Meanwhile, the far-right Sweden Democrats continue to grow and get their best election result yet, reaching 17.7% of the votes. After an election where everybody won and everybody lost, the country now moves towards a difficult period of government formation.
