Dr Carol van Buren, studied modern languages and linguistics at Cambridge University followed by 2 years working in Brussels before going on to to study law at King’s College London. Carol spent several years working as a commercial lawyer, followed by part time stints as a researcher at the UK Parliament and a lecturer at London University. After the Brexit vote, Carol decided to leave the UK and now lives in the EU where she now works as a freelance legal translator.

Food for thought : Reforming the common European agricultural policy and the way we cultivate our fields

Since 31 January 2019, Bavarian citizens have been encouraged to register for the « petition for a referendum on biodiversity ». According to the petition organisers, the aim is to promote the ecological use of farmland. Opponents argue that the position of farmers is not taken into account appropriately. Letter to Europe : The Treaty of Aachen jeopardises the EU’s seat on the Security Council
