<p>Interesting and I'd like to think it's true. But you correctly add some caveats. I'm not sure if political moods are truly 'global'. Surely it was local factors such as elections that are more likely to concentrate and shift voting intentions ? And as you say, the shifts are relatively small and the overall picture is still much lower support for the main parties. Also, perhaps the heat has gone out of the immigration issue that drove so much support for the populist parties since the peak in people movements in the summer of 2015 ?</p>
